Many free games are used to inform young users of a product, or movement. Two games i found to exemplify these qualities are "Darfur is Drying", and the Click4Obama game.
"Darfur is Dying" places the user into the life of a family in darfur. the user must choose a character and make a dash across the land to get water, and must make it back to camp without being caught by the militia. While this is mildly entertaining, it seers a deep meaning into your conscience, and then sends you to a website asking for donations. it clearly is a both advertisement game and a persuasive game.
Click for Obama is a game that is clearly persuasive. It invites you to a trivia game based on general American history. In the end, if you answer all the questions right, you complete the puzzle of obama's face and his campaign message. It forces you to be open to his ideas and message.
